    MAIN SPEAKER

    Peg’s passion is for living out her calling to teach and disciple women of all ages, whether through the spoken or written word. Peg leans on her years of “on-the-job-training” as a global worker in Kenya, counselor, bible study teacher, and Dean of Women at Arizona Christian University to share Jesus-relevant stories that draw women into deeper intimacy and a more secure identity in their Savior. Peg considers herself a simple woman with a simple message to which ladies everywhere can relate and be encouraged.

  • Christina Carter

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Having served overseas for 15 years with Cru (12 yrs in Kazakhstan), Christina understands the value of being nurtured, loved, and encouraged while living abroad. She has managed retreats for women serving overseas in over 15 countries. She is passionate about mobilizing believers for what God is doing overseas. When attaining her Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism and Marketing, she never imagined God’s great plans for her. She loves being a wife to Andy and a mom to 3 MK's Holly, Curran, and Ian.

  • Dana Hall

    RETREAT SPECIALIST (ATTENDEES & HOTEL)

    Dana came to know the saving grace of Jesus later in life, and she didn't waste a minute jumping all in. She has been using her gifting of administration to serve global work around the world and within her local community for the past 20 years. Dana currently serves as the Senior Administrative Assistant for the Global Outreach Department at Jewish Voice Ministries in Phoenix, AZ. She is married (Greg), with one adult son (Alex), and has 2 chihuahuas who rule her home. 

  • Sarah Labriel

    RETREAT SPECIALIST (VOLUNTEERS & WORKSHOPS)

    Sarah brings years of global worker experience from her service in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, and most recently in Ecuador. Sarah's life journey, marked by valleys of challenges, has cultivated in her a profound trust in the Lord. This trust, in turn, has endowed her with a natural ability to inspire hope, facilitating growth and transformation in every person she encounters. Sarah is a proud mom of two teenagers, she finds joy by taking them on adventures. 

  • Kari Berglund

    WEBSITE AND ASSISTANT

    Kari lives in Littleton, CO but can also be found exploring in her camper van with her dog Lucy. She has 3 adult children, 3 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter. Kari loves to come alongside women in their faith journey through prayer, encouragement, and Bible study. She has many global worker friends and loves partnering with what God is doing around the world in any way she can. In her free time, she pursues photography and anything crafty. 

  • Amie Beth Beadling

    Amie Beth Beadling serves global partnerships as a Program Manager. She is originally from the Washington DC area where she worked in Elementary Education. More recently she has supported nonprofits, both domestically and internationally, in a wide range of capacities focusing on discipleship and leadership development. She loves exploring, meeting new people, and making friends all over the world. 

  • Jenny Courville

    Jenny was born and raised in Texas but currently lives in Georgia. She has been married for 27 years to her high school sweetheart, Troy. They have two adult children, Faith and Evan. Faith lives in Texas and works for Pine Cove Camps. Evan is in Athens, GA studying Computer Science. She has been on staff with Chick-fil-A for 4 years on the Restaurant Cash Management team. In her free time, she loves playing pickleball, investing in deep, authentic relationships, sharing how I see God working in my life and the lives of others, and enjoying a good slice of (pizza) pie! 

  • Veronica Gatling

    Veronica currently serves as the Minister to Women at the Scottsdale Bible Church. She lives in Phoenix, AZ with her husband and best friend Timothy for 35 years. They have 3 adult children and 1 precious grand baby girl Zeriah. She retired from a fulfilling career in Christian school education in 2020. She has a master's degrees in education and Christian ministries and an earned doctorate degree in educational leadership. She now uses these skills in full time ministry to teach Bible studies and recruit women to serve in their gifting. She loves the ability to serve hands on and be a small part of what God is doing in the lives of women wherever He places her.  

  • Joyce Graham

    Joyce lives in Scottsdale, Arizona and recently retired from working on staff at Scottsdale Bible Church. She is single and has spent most of her life serving in the church discipling high school, college, and young adult women. Joyce has been on several short-term trips and enjoys learning about people and other cultures. Listening to stories of other people and connecting people to God’s Word and other resources is her passion. Joyce looks forward to travel, ministry, time with friends, arts and crafts, photography, and fashion in her retirement years. 

  • Elisabeth Harper

    Elisabeth is a wife and mother of 4 in Lexington, Kentucky. Elisabeth attended ministry school in Colorado where she focused on women and children’s ministry where her heart to see women empowered and encouraged in their relationship with the Lord grew. Armed with this passion, she decided to take that ministry into the marketplace, and open her own salon. Now that Elisabeth is a full- time mom, that passion to see others grow in the Lord has not diminished one bit. It is something she cultivates with her husband in their home and what she hopes to take out into the world! 

  • Christine Hong

    Christine and her husband, Ike, recently moved to Boulder, Colorado, to start a new chapter of their lives, retirement. She enjoys the outdoors and serves in the Wilderness Ministry at Calvary Bible Church. She feels blessed for the opportunities God has provided for her life adventures and travels to experience God’s creations. Her newest blessing is her 1-year-old grandson, Cooper. She’s looking forward to live out God’s plans to serve others and to give back. 

  • GiGi Horrell

    Gi Gi is co-founder with her husband, Stan, of MissioCare Collective, a Member Care Ministry working with Global Kingdom workers. She has a deep passion to see women flourish in all God has created them to be and to see Kingdom workers remain healthy so that the Good News is proclaimed throughout the Nations. Gi Gi was a small business owner for 28 years and is a speaker, Bible teacher, seeker of a deeper prayer life with Jesus, wife, mother, and grandmother. 

  • Judy Lewis

    Judy Nelson Lewis is a writer, spiritual director, and retreat leader. She holds a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Direction & Formation and is a graduate of the Renovare Institute of Christian Spiritual Formation. A long-time staff member of Cru (34 years), Judy lives in Atlanta with her husband Bob and puppy Biscuit. Her book EXHALE is available on Amazon.   • June Lowe

    June and her husband have been married for 20+ years; she has 2 married step-sons and one biological son. June was born & raised in Atlanta and has spent the majority of her life there. She’s worked with Chick-fil-A for 12+ years now and presently serves in Customer Technology Solutions within our IT department. She loves to hike, sing, read, visit amusement parks, and complete endurance walks to raise money & awareness for breast cancer. 

  • Tabitha Murza

    Tabitha is a single mom of 4 kids through whom she learns more about God’s grace than anything else. She has been a registered nurse for 14 years and has been witness to God’s love for her by the care she provides her patients. Tabitha has always loved global workers and is looking forward to this opportunity to be part of something that gives back to them. 

  • Annette Nicholl

    Annette Nicholl served with CRU campus ministry for 20 years, 8 Years in Irkutsk, Russia. Currently, she and her husband Spencer serve in Member Care for Samaritans Purse and direct a small ministry in Ohio City Colorado called Big Horn Ministries. Their mission is to help people take their next step in life and toward Christ. They offer a place in their remote Colorado location for respite and rest for those who are in crisis, burned out, or just need a break. Her passion is to help women get back to a listening place with the Lord. She has three grown children; Andrew, Kayla and Kate plus a new granddaughter.  

  • Mary Lyn Noeth

    Mary Lyn served with her husband and 8 children in Indonesia for 7 years. The Lord has relocated her to St. Louis, MO, but she continues to have a passion for the Lord’s work overseas. She attended the Azmera Bali Haven Retreat in 2019 and is excited to be a blessing to the women attending this year. She is filled with the Lord’s wisdom and loves to encourage women in their unique callings. 

  • Cheryl Schuerman

    Cheryl is a world traveler and served as a global worker for 10 years in Central Asia with her late husband, Robert. She lives in Georgia with her mom and spends most of her spare time traveling coast to coast visiting her 7 children and 10 grandchildren! She is a foodie and loves to experience new foods and explore different cultures! She is passionate about serving and loving women who live and work cross-culturally. 

  • Jamie Suel

    Jamie is passionate about helping God’s people live fully alive and free in the truth and beauty of who they are in Christ. She considers it an honor to provide a safe, welcoming place for people to get off the hamster wheel, encounter God, receive healing, and create a joyful way forward. She has been married to her husband for 30 years and has 5 children, a wonderful daughter in law, and 3 super fun grandchildren. Jamie, her husband, and their 5 children served overseas in Kenya for 7 years. For the past 8 years she has served as the Director of Care and Development for via (vianations.org).   • Margit Tritt

    Margit (rhymes with "target") is passionate about sharing her God-given talents with others through encouragement, leadership, and mentoring. She has been married for over 43 years and their adult children have blessed them with 3 granddaughters. Margit is still in the corporate world, has retired from raising alpacas, teaches machine knitting, and is learning the complexities of her commercial knitting machine. 

  • Mary Jane Utterback

    Mary Jane is a worshipper, prayer warrior, and encourager from Scottsdale Arizona. In 40 years of prayer ministry she has experienced the Holy Spirit breaking up and freeing hearts from pain and bondages and seen feet a’dancing. As a retired teacher, she volunteers for Sunday school, VBS, and an after-school program called Mentor Kids for children in underprivileged schools. She serves as a music, swimming, and reading teacher. She has 4 married children and 17 grandchildren.  

  • Andi Walters

    Andi's journey sharing the love of Jesus with women began years ago with MOPS. Now residing in Centralia, WA, she and her husband Bob have "retired" from education. Andi has a passion for the Word of God and leads a women's Bible study group. She is also involved in the women's ministry and global workers team at her church. Andi and Bob have led numerous teams to Mexico, building homes with Homes of Hope. She takes pride in her three grown boys, cherishes her wonderful daughter-in-law, and delights in her role as a new grandma to Lawson. 

  • Barb Waring

    Barb has worked with Chick-fil-A 12+ years, currently serving as Lead Technical Product Owner for Spotlight, a tool used by Operators to care for customers. She has served as a teacher and coach for women and girls, specializing in endurance sports and helping people realize their dreams of accomplishing what they thought was impossible. Barb has always had a love for family and friends, a deep appreciation for the outdoors, a passion for seeing the world and meeting new people and a servant heart and spirit. 

  • Patti Weber

    Patti is a retired Registered Nurse and lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in Corvallis, Oregon with her wonderful husband, Ed. Together they have 7 children and 9 grand children. She has been on many Azmera Haven retreats so she is excited to be able to support and encourage the women who will come for this time of refreshment. Patti loves cooking and trying new foods, spending time with her family and friends, and being outdoors in God's amazing creation. 

  • Kathy Wonderly

    Kathy lives in Mishawaka, IN, and is married to Brian. They have 2 adult sons and 2 beautiful daughter-in-laws. Any time they can all be together, and whatever they all do together is always her favorite. Kathy has been a Chick-fil-A operator for 22 years and owns and operates 2 restaurants in her city. She finds great joy in providing opportunities for her team, developing her leaders, and investing in them personally and professionally. She has a passion for mentoring young women and helping them know their worth and value. Kathy is a beach junkie and lives for soaking up the sunshine and warm water with an iced chai in her hand.
