Azmera GEORGIA 2025 | Prayer Calendar (October 18 - October 24)

Azmera is headed to Georgia and then Northern Ireland for our Fall Haven Retreats! We would love to invite you to join us in praying for every woman who will be at these Retreats - both the women attending and those volunteering on our Connection Crews. These are simple suggestions of how to pray for the women, and we don’t expect you to pray for every single one, but rather hope you will listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit as He highlights the women He has in mind for you to pray for. We also hope the time you spend in prayer is sweet and encouraging for your own walk and relationship with the Lord.  ~suzanna

Saturday, October 18

Pray for the Georgia Connection Crew as they travel to Georgia. Pray for safety, no missed connections or missing luggage, and for as much rest as possible on each leg of the journey. Pray for a spirit of unity and connection among this group of women, that as they bring different experiences, faith walks, and perspectives, there would be a unique sense of compassion and understanding among them.

Pray for A as she desires the salvation of her father and brothers, that she would continue to trust the Lord with their lives and hearts, and be consistent in loving them as she walks with God on her own. Pray for protection for her family’s spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional health. Ask also for a cohesive, compassionate team as they welcome three new families who are coming to work alongside them.

Pray for B as she looks forward to growth in her church as they minister and look for opportunities for Evangelism and meeting the needs of those around them. Ask that as she also looks for spiritual growth for herself, personally, that she would be wise in how she is spending her time, that she would make space for herself to connect with the Lord on a regular basis. Pray for energy, wisdom, and discernment within her family as she is a wife and mother to three kids.

Pray for M and her church as they continue to develop relationships with those in their neighborhood who don’t yet believe. Pray for a spirit of humility, compassion, and understanding as they build these relationships and look for practical ways to share the love of Jesus with those around them.

Sunday, October 19

Pray for D and her husband as they begin a marriage ministry in their church. Ask for them to be bold in their prayers for the couples in their church and around them, and for them to find practical ways to encourage and offer refreshment to those they minister to. Pray for a hedge of protection around their own marriage, for them to have wisdom and understanding with each other, and to have safe relationships of mentorship and encouragement for their own marriage.

Pray for H as she transitions to a new role in ministry after years in the same position of leadership. Pray for her to trust God’s leading in her own life, as well as entrusting her previous role into someone else’s hands. Ask that as she adjusts to this new season, she would see the fruit of her work, in both the old and the new, and that in that seeing she would be encouraged and know a new level of faith and trust.

Pray for A to see God at work around her in big ways and small ways, that she would be reminded of His goodness and faithfulness and know peace in her heart and mind. Pray she would know God’s timing is perfect and would walk in abundant faith as she experiences His provision again and again. Ask for her heart to be softened and willing to soak up every good thing He gives.

Pray for B as she realizes she is heading towards being burnt out and is fighting against getting there. Ask for friends and family to speak truth to her, to encourage and support her, and to offer help as they see the needs rising. Pray for a heart of tenderness and openness to the Lord as He invites her into spaces of rest and renewal away from the burdens and distractions that are weighing her down.

Monday, October 20

Pray for the Connection Crew as they spend time preparing for the Haven Retreat, that as they spend time together, there would be good communication, laughter, and light-heartedness, as well as space to be honest and open with one another about the things that are burdening their hearts. Ask that compassion and understanding would be abundant, and for there to be a spirit of connectedness and unity among them.

Pray for D and her siblings as they navigate their father’s recent Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Ask for compassion, kindness, and good communication among them as they figure out care for their father and for themselves, especially as they work on this both together in person and from afar. Pray for healthy boundaries as they learn to balance this new part of life with the regular schedules and responsibilities each one carries.

Pray for H and her family as they move towards physical health, healing, and wholeness, especially for their toddler son. Pray for continued wisdom and discernment in medical decisions and care, and for a continued spirit of prayer and trust in the Lord for provision and healing. Ask for peace of mind and heart for each person in this family as they walk through this season.

Pray for M as she recognizes her need for a lot of wisdom and discernment. Ask for her to see how God is answering those prayers for her in practical ways, and that as she sees His guidance in her life, she would walk in a deeper faith and trust. Pray for sensitivity to the Holy Spirit’s voice and leading, and for a deeper walk of faith in her relationship with the Lord.

Tuesday, October 21

Pray for E as she sits in a season of burnout, disappointment, and weariness from the hardships, losses, and rejections she’s experienced this past year. Pray for her to find rest in the Lord, to know His presence, to offer peace, renewal, and healing. Ask for her heart, mind, eyes, and ears to be open to the truth of who she is and to know life and hope as she claims that truth and walks in faith with God.

Pray for R and her family as they continue to adjust to a new location, language, and culture. Ask for wisdom and guidance as they work with a new team and look for the best ways to support their new co-workers. Pray they would be discerning and sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and have hearts of compassion and understanding, and open ears to those speaking around them.

Pray for K and her family as they look ahead to scheduling their next home assignment, taking into consideration their kids’ schooling and schedules. Pray they would be wise in their decisions and would wholeheartedly trust the Lord as He leads. Ask for faith in God’s provision to work out every detail, that they would be able to hand over their worries, anxieties, and fears into God’s hands.

Pray for A and her family as they adjust to a new country of service and navigate immigration issues with their 16-year-old son. Ask for favor and grace from those they interact with who have the power to make things easier and smoother for them. Pray for each member of their family to see God’s grace and faithfulness throughout these challenges.

Wednesday, October 22

Pray for Christina as she leads this retreat, for her to make time to be still in the Lord’s presence and allow Him to speak words of guidance and truth to her. Pray she would be attentive and obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and would be willing to change plans if necessary, as the Lord leads.

Pray for Sarah as she coordinates details and people and handles a lot of the technical operations for this retreat. Ask that she would have wisdom and discernment in making decisions, and would also be a safe place for the Connection Crew to come to with questions, concerns, or simply needing a listening ear. Pray she would be rested and rejuvenated each night for the following day.

Pray for S J as she trusts the Lord to refresh, heal, and restore her heart from the things she’s experienced over the past few years. Pray for a renewed sense of excitement as she steps back onto the mission field, for her to see where God is at work and know how and where she fits in to what is already happening. Ask for her to have confidence and peace about the unique strengths and perspective she brings with her.

Pray for A and her husband to be intentional about making and keeping healthy boundaries as they balance ministry, work, and raising their kids. Ask for a strong, supportive community to be in their lives, and for them to be bold in asking for help when the needs arise. Pray for gentleness, kindness, and love to fill their home.

Thursday, October 23

The Georgia Haven Retreat begins today!  Pray for the Connection Crew as they make the final preparations and eagerly await the arrival of the women attending. Ask that they would be generous and bold in their prayers for one another and for the women they will be coming alongside. Pray for rest, good health, and a holy anticipation for what God is going to do over the next four days.

Pray for the rooms and spaces that will be utilized during this Haven Retreat, that the presence of the Lord will cover each one in protection and holiness, for any spirit of darkness or untruth that is not of God to be swept out in the name of Jesus. Pray for the staff and workers who will encounter the women of this retreat; for those who know God to be encouraged and filled with hope and excitement for how God is at work, and for those who don’t know Him to be drawn towards Him through the kindness and love shown by the women gathered.

Pray for the women as they arrive, that as soon as they are greeted, they would feel not only welcomed and loved, but feel the weight and heaviness of what they are carrying lifted from them. Pray they would know the Spirit of the Lord inviting them into holy places, that each woman would feel safe to be vulnerable and authentic with her heart, feelings, and any weariness she may be holding. Ask for protection and safety over the first time gathering for worship, teaching, and connection.

Friday, October 24

Pray for the first full day of the Georgia Haven Retreat, that the women would gather rested and excited for what the day holds for each one. Pray for relationships to be forming and trust to be built among each table the women are at. Pray for the Connection Crew as they facilitate conversations and prayer, that the teams of women would be united in thought and heart, and would be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, especially when things look different than anticipated.

Pray for Jamie as she leads worship for this Haven Retreat, that she would be attentive and obedient to the voice and leading of the Holy Spirit. Pray for her to allow God to use her to invite the women gathered into His presence, to experience rest, love, and a holy anointing of truth over them. Ask that she would be intentional about making time to connect with the Lord on her own each day, to be filled and encouraged before she gives of herself to those around her.

Pray for Christy as she spends her time speaking and teaching, that she would do so confidently from what the Lord has given her for this specific group of women. Pray she would be bold and compassionate as she shares truths and encourages the women she interacts with. Ask for deep rest and sleep for her each night, and for the time she spends alone with the Lord to be precious and life-giving.

Pray for Tori, Nan, and Gigi as they spend time counseling one-on-one. Pray they would each be sensitive to the voice and leading of the Holy Spirit, as well as present and attentive to each person they meet with. Ask for protection over each room and space they use, that the presence of the Lord would be heavy over them.
