Azmera TANZANIA 2026 | Prayer Calendar (February 22 - March 2)

Greetings once again! We are wrapping up our time in Tanzania and continuing to pray over the women attending and volunteering. Thank you for taking the time to read through these and to pray as the Lord leads. We hope you are encouraged and blessed in the time you spend with the Lord this week.

Sunday, February 22

The Tanzania Haven Retreat ends today! Pray for the women as they gather one last time to connect, listen, pray, and worship together. Pray for hearts to continue to be open and accepting of the words and love God has for them, that the truths spoken would sink deep into the places where they’re needed most. Ask that as the women wrap up this time together, they would be ready to go back to jobs, families, and ministries refreshed and hopeful for what is yet to come, and to be excited to put into practice the things they have learned and experienced the past four days.

Pray for the Connection Crew as they spend one last morning facilitating, connecting, and praying for the women at their tables. Pray they would be rested, focused, and present, and would be sensitive to the voice and movement of the Holy Spirit, and would follow His leading in each conversation and interaction. Ask for the time they spend together after the Retreat ends, debriefing and processing things together, that there would be a spirit of gentleness and compassion, and space for each woman to process and rest as needed for each one.

Pray for J to have wisdom and discernment with a friend who is a single mother and is not afraid to ask for help financially, that she would be obedient to the Lord’s leading and would be comfortable and confident in knowing when to say “yes” and when to say “no.” Ask that she would be attentive to the Holy Spirit’s voice in this relationship, as she struggles to know how to best love and support this friend. Pray she would have good support and wise counsel around her, to be filled with compassion and kindness

Pray for S as she teaches Middle School and is in a setting to disciple and counsel the kids in her class and school. Pray for wisdom and understanding as she interacts with the students and their families, that they would feel welcomed into spaces of safety and loved when they are in her presence. Ask that they would encounter the love of Jesus through her on a consistent basis.

Pray for K and her desire and need for rest and renewal, that the time she spends at the Retreat will not only offer those for her but will also be filled with invitations to encounter Jesus in ways her heart and spirit need the most. Ask that she would take advantage of the time to sit quietly in the Lord’s presence and allow His peace to cover her and fill her with life and hope again. Pray for her to see the areas God is challenging and inviting her into, so that rest and renewal become a part of her normal routine.

Monday, February 23

Pray for R and the ministry she is involved in with kids, for there to be wisdom and compassion as they desire to meet the needs of kids not just physically and educationally, but spiritually and emotionally as well. Pray for protection over her heart and mind as she feels lonely and isolated, that she would be aware of these triggers on her mental health and would have and utilize plans to thwart the darkness that threatens to overwhelm and bring her down. Ask for wisdom as they help raise a 7-year-old who is currently in their care, for them to be patient and understanding, and also to rest in the knowledge that her healing and health care is not in their hands nor their sole responsibility.

Pray for A as she navigates transitions and changes in her life, that she would keep her eyes focused on the Lord and would find consistency and stability in Him, even as things change around her. Ask for her to persevere in boldly asking God to grant her the desires of her heart, that she would not give up or lessen the asks she has of Him, but would move forward in faith and hope. Pray that God would be gracious and compassionate to her and would fulfill her prayers, hopes, and dreams far beyond her wildest prayers.

Pray for H as she asks God for wisdom in the direction her life is taking, whether that is to stay in her country of service or to go home. Pray she would hear His voice and would make decisions with confidence and in faith, and would be excited and hopeful for what the future holds for her. Ask that she would have a heart and mind of peace as she sees the Lord’s provision for her in every area of her life.

Pray for R and her husband as they look to the Lord for guidance in what direction to take their ministry, as they have two options before them, and both have their appeal. Ask that as they seek the Lord’s voice in making these decisions, they would be still before Him and allow Him to direct them on the path He has set before them. Pray they would be at peace in heart and mind, and would be unified in spirit and focus as they move forward with their plans.

Pray for D and the time and energy they are putting into the projects and people in the area they are ministering in, that they would not grow weary or discouraged but would be able to see clearly where God is at work in and through them. Pray they would be hopeful for the seeds they are planting, and would water them well, even as they trust and wait on the Lord. Ask for energy, enthusiasm, and gentleness as they love those around them in practical ways.

Tuesday, February 24

Pray for I as she hands over responsibilities and ministry projects to her colleagues who are local to the area. Ask for her to have trust and hope in the abilities and knowledge of those she is working with, that she would be excited to see how God is going to continue to work and move among those around her. Pray she would have a sense of direction and leading for what is next for her, that even as she looks ahead towards what is to come, she would allow herself time to rest and refocus.

Pray for A as she asks for endurance in ministry, language learning, homeschooling, and living in a spiritually dark place. Pray that as she balances her responsibilities and relationships, she will also make time for herself, to rest and be restored through time with Jesus. Ask for focus and discernment in areas she needs to step back from so that she can be fully present and at her best.

Pray for K and her husband as they look ahead to changes and transitions they would like to make in ministry, life, and living location. Ask for there to be a sensitivity to the voice of the Holy Spirit as they seek direction and guidance, for their hearts, minds, and ears to be soft and open to His leading. Pray for a deeper faith as they trust in the Lord’s timing and provision, that as they wait, they will sense His goodness and presence and see His provision for them in all things.

Pray for S and her family as they face transitions this year, with their 17-year-old son beginning college this year, as well as moving forward with American citizenship for their adopted little one. Praise God for His timing and goodness in this adoption and addition to their family, and pray they would continue to see His goodness and faithfulness to them as they wait on papers and trust His timing. Ask for peace and trust, as their family dynamics will shift when they return to their country of service after their son starts college.

Pray for D and the trainings she is involved in with local Christians, that there would be wisdom and discernment in reaching across cultures in the Name of Jesus. Ask for understanding and grace as things are shared and taught, that the teaching team would have a spirit of humility and would be open to receiving and learning as much as they are in a position of leadership. Pray for God’s glory and presence to be tangibly felt throughout this group of people, that He would be praised and known among those in attendance.

Wednesday, February 25

Pray for the Tanzania Connection Crew as they begin the trip home, for safety in travels, good rest, and continued connection with one another. Pray for protection over each woman as they get ready to get back into the routine of work, family, and the responsibilities they put on hold while overseas, for their minds to be at peace as they prepare to switch gears from mission back to daily life. Ask that they would continue to trust God to hold the things they experienced in His hands, and would not carry back with them anything that is not theirs to hold.

Pray for M as she trusts God’s provision for her and her ministry after spending time in the US sharing with her ministry partners and raising support. Pray she would see the fruit of her travels and of God’s goodness in her life and ministry. Ask that she would continue to ask boldly and in faith of those who support her, to follow the Lord’s leading, and to have faith in His provision for her.

Pray for B as she continues to heal from a broken ankle last April, for the struggles she has had in regaining complete walking abilities. Ask for God to heal and strengthen her ankle, to bring into alignment her muscles, bones, and nerves so that she can walk without pain and discomfort. Pray that in this season of continued healing, she would know God’s presence in deeper and truer ways than she has known before, for her walk with Him to be rich and full of hope, joy, and life.

Pray for D to trust that God will use the things they are teaching their students to not only draw them closer to Him, but to be a light in the world around them. Pray she would teach and speak with gentleness and confidence in the words God gives her, to be kind and compassionate as she shares the truth and speaks love to the students in her life.

Pray for S as she is in a season of transition and adjustment, in having her daughter abroad to study on her own. Ask for continued protection and peace over both of them as they learn a new way of life and relationship with one another from afar, for there to be good communication and time to share and encourage one another. Pray they would both find support and community around them as they find new rhythms and routines.

Thursday, February 26

Pray for T as she learns how to balance work in a secular setting with ministry as an associate pastor. Pray she would know God in all places and trust that He is with her and will give her wisdom and knowledge of how to love and meet people where they’re at, regardless of what “hat” she wears in any given moment, that she would simply be a daughter of God in all things. Ask for blessing and provision for her husband and herself, as they desire children but recognize their age brings physical challenges and limitations; pray that God will be abundant in how and when He extends their family, and that they will know His goodness and praise Him in all things.

Pray for A and her family to find good routines of rest and refreshment in the busyness of life and ministry. Ask for them to continue to see the provision and goodness of God from their short home assignment last fall, that the words and testimony they shared with those back home would continue to bear fruit and be an encouragement.

Pray for J and her husband as they are in a season of transition with two of their children in the US, as well as her parents, who are having their health decline and are also in the US. Pray they would have wisdom and discernment in what their next steps should be, that they would trust God above all else and be willing to listen to His voice and follow His leading. Ask for there to be peace in decisions they make, and faith that God will provide in every way needed, both in the seen and unseen.

Pray for E to have renewed clarity and vision, that she would make time for rest and connection with the Lord so that she can experience those things. Ask that she would be willing to lay her burdens at the feet of Jesus and trust that He will take care of them for her, allowing her space to rest and focus on herself and her walk with the Lord. Pray for confidence in herself as she asks God to speak, that she would trust His voice and move forward in faith and obedience.

Pray for J as she ministers to and loves those around her, that she would walk with compassion, grace, and humility. Pray that she would set healthy boundaries for herself in relationships and ministry, to safeguard against burnout and weariness. Ask for an increase in understanding and awareness of the needs of those around her, that she would be willing and obedient to the Lord’s leading to be the hands and feet of Jesus in practical ways.

Friday, February 27

Pray for T to see the goodness of God’s provision in her life - in finances, community, and relationships, and for that awareness to deepen her faith and trust in Him. Ask that she would be bold in the things she asks of God and that she would have a spirit of expectation and faith for how He will answer her prayers. Pray she would walk forward in confidence and would have a greater awareness of the Holy Spirit with her.

Pray for L as she trusts God to provide the next steps for her in life and ministry. Pray she would make time to be still and listen to His voice, and to trust Him as He leads her, even if it is to new and unexpected places. Ask for her to see the fruit of the work of her hands, and to know that as God is with her, beautiful things will happen that she is able to be a part of.

Pray for M as she desires for her Math students to encounter truths about the Lord through her teaching. Ask that she would be connected to God on a daily basis, and would trust her connection to Him will be visible through her interactions and love of the people around her. Pray that she would find rest and peace for her soul, heart, and mind as she spends time with the Lord.

Pray for H as she seeks the Lord’s direction for where to focus in ministry through the next several years, that she would be attentive and sensitive to His voice as He speaks, leading and truth to her. Pray for wisdom and discernment in setting priorities and boundaries so that she is living a healthy and balanced life, and is able to manage her time, strength, and energy to the best of her ability. Ask for a fresh and refreshing touch of the Lord on her heart and spirit, for her to grow in Him in new and exciting ways.

Pray for Z as she is learning a new language, that understanding and progress would come quickly, and she would be able to use it in practical ways; and pray she would have fun learning this language and would have good connections and relationships with those who are teaching her. Ask for confidence as she trusts the Holy Spirit’s leading in her life and ministry, that she would walk in confidence and hope on the path set before her.

Saturday, February 28

Pray for R as she asks the Lord for clarity regarding future paths, that as she hears His voice leading her, she would trust Him and move in obedience and faith. Pray for peace over her mind and thoughts, that she would learn what it means to “take captive” every thought and commit it to the Lord, and in doing so, she would be filled with trust and confidence in the Lord and in who she is in Him.

Pray for S and her family as they are in a very busy season, for them to have wisdom in making time for themselves and one another to rest and regroup. Ask for wisdom and guidance in the schooling situation for their kids, that they would make decisions in faith and trust in the Lord’s leading and provision.

Pray for P as she is in the last year of being in ministry in this country of service, for her to be attentive and aware of the needs of those around her, as well as her own needs, as she closes this chapter in her life. Pray she would sense the Lord’s leading and guidance on what the next steps are for her in ministry and in her life, that as she follows His leading, she would do so with excitement and peace. Ask for a continued sense of knowing who she is in God and what her calling is, regardless of where she ends up and what she ends up doing.

Pray for B as she learns English and looks for help and resources in doing so. Ask that she would make incredible friendships and connections through this language learning, for her to see God at work around her and know His grace and provision in her life through this venture. Pray for a spirit of joy and openness as she joins community and ministers to others through this season of her life.

Pray for M and the village church they just started, that as things get off the ground, they would walk in faith and trust that God is working in this community. Pray for workers to come alongside them and join them in this church plant, to encourage and support one another as they share the love of Jesus with their friends and neighbors. Ask for good relationships with those in their community, that they would be able to see tangible Jesus through this church and would be drawn to Him because of the grace, kindness, and love they are shown.

Sunday, March 1

Pray for J as she works in various countries assisting in a variety of ways, for her to keep her focus on the Lord and to know His voice as He leads her. Ask for grace and provision for visas and travel permits needed, that she would trust the Lord to provide and would walk in confidence on the path He sets before her, especially when it looks different than expected. Pray for protection and peace over her.

Pray for T to experience a new freedom and boldness in her walk with Christ, because of who she is in Christ. Ask that as she spends time with the Lord and listens to the words of truth He speaks to her, that she would embrace those truths and allow them to heal and free her from things she has held on to about herself that are not true. Pray for protection and grace over her as she walks a new path of light, light, and hope.

Pray for C to become intentional about stopping to spend time with the Lord, especially in places of nature and beauty, where her soul can be refreshed and brought to life in specific ways. Pray for her to have a new awareness of God’s goodness and love for her and for that awareness to change how she sees not only the world and those around her, but herself as well. Ask for a deeper joy and hope to settle in her heart and mind, to guide her and give her faith in the things she asks for.

Pray for J to find peace and anchoring in Jesus, that she would seek time with the Lord on a regular basis to allow His presence to bring calm and focus to her heart and mind, to still the thoughts and chaos around her. Ask that as she spends time with Him, she would begin to see how she is like Him, and that would give her courage and hope as she shares His love with those around her. Pray for her to have a boldness to speak and act in faith as she trusts the Holy Spirit to guide her.

Monday, March 2

Pray for the 2026 Haven Retreats and Adventures yet to come, for the women who will both attend and volunteer. Pray God would even now be preparing hearts and minds for what He has in store for them, for His provision to be abundant and timely, and for the women to see His hands at work and to know His faithfulness and love for them. Ask for God to make a way for the women who desire to volunteer, for the funds needed to be generously provided, and for there to be excitement and peace as they look ahead to what God has for them through these Retreats and Adventures.

Pray for the Azmera Board of Directors as they continue to plan and direct this organization, that they would be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and would be obedient and faithful in following as He leads. Ask for them to have wisdom and discernment in the decisions they make, for them to be faithful to the calling and responsibilities set before them. Pray for a spirit of unity and connection, but also for space to be honest and to give push-back as needed, for all things to be shared and received with love and kindness.

Lastly! Thank you, as always, for your faithful partnership and support through prayer. We may say this every time, but it remains true – this ministry and these Haven Retreats would not be what they are without your prayers; so thank you for the time given and energy spent in the quiet places with Jesus on behalf of all the women involved in the Haven Retreats this past month.
